But Snapdragon 820 is still faster than A9 overall

Earlier this week, a hands-on performance comparison between Apple’s crown jewel of 2015, the iPhone 6S Plus, and Samsung’s crown jewel of 2016, the Galaxy S7 Edge, was uploaded to YouTube where real-world performance was tested side-by-side to see how fast each phone runs a sequence of various apps.

Over the past seven and a half years since the App Store launched in July 2008, Apple’s mobile application market has blossomed from a size of just 500 applications at launch to more than 1.5 million as of last month. Unfortunately, even with all of these apps readily available, the company has been reluctantly strict in allowing developers the ability to change application functionality with their own third-party enhancements. Until last summer, the process was mostly restricted to jailbroken iOS devices and there have been few app tweaks available for non-jailbroken devices, until now.

Our US readers started getting the notifications on their iPhones and iPads that Apple's new  iOS 9 is available. EU phones including the one around here didn’t get the push notification.

Not coming today

It appears that Apple has some problems with its watchOS 2 update as the rollout will not begin today, as it was earlier announced.

In addition to the WatchOS 2 and the new OS X El Capitan, Apple has also announced the new iOS 9 mobile OS at its WWDC 2015 even in San Francisco.
