Combines 3D XPoint with QLC NAND

Intel has officially launched its new Optane Memory H10 with SSD M.2 module, a hybrid solution that will combine Intel Optane (3D XPoint memory) for performance with QLC NAND flash for capacity.

It appears that Intel has finally ironed out the kinks with its 3D Xpoint Optane DIMMs and they will finally launch in the second half of next year.

Over the weekend, Intel pushed ahead with the release of its first consumer and enterprise SSD based on 3D XPoint technology, with latency rates roughly one hundred times lower than NAND flash alternatives that have dominated the market since 2007.

At the Intel Developer Forum (IDF) 2016 in Shenzhen, China, Intel again demonstrated its new Intel Optane SSD technology, showing some real-life performance where it reaches transfer speeds of just under 2GB/s.

During IDF 2015, Intel has announced its newest Optane brand, which will include SSDs based on 3D XPoint memory, co-developed with Micron and announced back in July this year.
