Jobs biography released early

Be still my beating heart
The Tame Apple Press (TAP) has gotten all moist about the prospect of the Steve Jobs' biography coming out in November.

With delays on the Apple product line, TAPs has nothing really to hype beyond reality and so it is starting to talk about the biography of the “man who single-handedly killed the PC” (sic). Given that 99 per cent of the world is using a PC and that an iMac is a PC with a different operating system, you can tell how well informed TAP is about this coming biography.

Since the biography is approved by Steve we can expect that it will be either dull, one sided, or bizzare. Certainly TAP is pointing out that the book will arrive in time for Thanksgiving, as if the universe has anything to thank Steve Jobs for. It will start with him being born in a stable surrounded by IBM mainframe gear when he will be visited by three wise men who will tell him how to “re-invent” a mouse which had been developed by Xerox.

The book is written by Walter Isaacson and it features 40 interviews with Jobs conducted over two years as well as a full reckoning of his personal life.

“This book chronicles the rollercoaster life and searingly intense personality of a creative entrepreneur whose passion for perfection and ferocious drive revolutionized six industries: personal computers, animated movies, music, phones, tablet computing, and digital publishing,” the press release tells us.

Apparently it is a book about innovation and “Jobs stands as the ultimate icon of inventiveness and applied imagination”. So it is really book about marketing and how you can take lots of peoples inventions and repackage them so that people think that they are getting something different.

Jobs being candid includes statements how he was not proud of the fact that he got his girlfriend pregnant when he was 23 and the way he handled it. He admits that he was “not a model boss or human being”, but hell we could have told him that.
