The Meizu curved phone - that still doesn’t have a name - looks great from both sides but when you analyse the back side, the camera and circular LED flash ring placement indicate that this phone might be an evolution of the Meizu 6 Pro. This has been a good year for Meizu as it won all the design wins, and remember it is a small company that sold 20 million smartphones in 2015, with aspirations to sell even more.
On a separate note, there was a report that the Meizu CEO’s email was leaked and he voiced his concerns that the Meizu MX6 and Meizu 6 Pro look too similar. The only major difference, it seems, will be the screen size as Meizu MX6 is expected to have 5.5 inch display while the Meizu 6 Pro uses 5.2 inch display. The MX6 comes with Helio X20 deca core CPU, 3GB / 32GB and 4GB RAM /64GB storage option and 20-megapixel rear and 8-megapixel front face camera. Currently many believe that this phone will be launched on July the 19th.
We still believe that once they start to officially sell in the European and USA markest, Meizu, Xiaomi, LeEco, Vivo and a few others have a big chance to take sales from some big names. For now, it remains a nice toy for many enthusiasts who know how to get their hands on it. Meizu has very high quality phones that costs a fraction compared to the big brands, and are gaining popularity amongst the community. The smartphone market is definitely changing.
