HTC has just announced the One M9 smartphone, the HTC Grip smartband and a Valve cooperation on a device called Vive - a Virtual Reality headset.  

Cooperation, not VR headsets

We became aware of a few VR-related things back in mid-2014, and one of them was that both AMD and Nvidia were investing a lot of resources in Virtual Reality. 

Not a high-resolution console

Next week will be full of product launches, as we expect to officially see HTC One M9, Samsung Galaxy S6, as well as many other phones and some tablets.

Last year Facebook snapped up Oculus, the maker of the only Virtual Reality glasses that sort of work.
