Looks like another hit for Codemasters
While much of the U.S. does not pay much attention to open wheel racing in general, the upcoming release of F1 2010 from Codemasters just might change a few minds, especially since there will be no NASCAR offering. The early buzz among reviewers who have played the final game is that it is hot.

The game follows the Formula 1 racing circus around the globe with all of the drivers, teams and tracks. They are presented in a sizzling 60 fps using Codemasters Ergo engine, which is said to deliver some of the best weather effects to ever been seen in a racing game so far.

Reviewers are already describing the offering as solid, with high marks for Codemasters in being able to produce a game of this quality. With the release of F1 2010, it will mark the return of Formula 1 racing titles for platforms other than Sony for the first time in several years.

F1 2010 will be released for the Xbox 360, PC and the PlayStation 3. With a good buzz to build upon, the game could enjoy some success in markets where Formula 1 isn’t as popular and could ring up many more sales than projected.

Look for the game to be released on September 21st in North America with a U.K. release on September 24th.
