ATI veteran comes back from Synaptics

AMD has announced that industry veteran, and an ex-ATI chap from the good ol' days, Rick Bergman, has rejoined the company as Executive Vice President of Computing and Graphics.

Godfrey sounded surprised when I mentioned that I still remember our first meetings when he was running the marketing for the legendary ATI AllinWonder cards, but at the time in the early 2000s, these were some of the most prominent cards ever created. They could do a TV-out.

Snapdragon 845, 4000 mAh battery too

The second quarter will be a great period of many new smartphones and most of them will have a Snapdragon 845 SoC if they don’t come from Huawei which has its own chip. The Xiaomi Mi 7 might be one of the first, or the second,  prominent phones to get an in-display fingerprint reader.

Future of unlocking
