Huawei sub-brand Honor is holding an event next week, on 18 May to announce new smart life products. The new products are part of the company's vision to offer a full ecosystem of products around its smartphones, such as the recently-announced Honor 30 family.
Periscope 50MP camera not enough for DXOMARK throne
Honor has officially unveiled its new 30 series smartphones, the Honor 30, Honor 30 Pro, and the Honor 30 Pro+, and the flagship comes with 6.57-inch 90Hz OLED panel and Sony's IMX700 50-megapixel main sensor on the rear, but it was not enough to dethrone the Huawei P40 Pro on DXOMARK.
Has quad- main rear camera, lacks Google Mobile Services
Just a week after Huawei unveiled its full P40 series, Honor has decided to announce another smartphone in the Honor 30 series, the Honor 30S, featuring a 6.5-inch FHD+ display, premium design, and Huawei's own Kirin 820 5G SoC.
Date set for February 24th
As MWC 2020 has been officially canceled, Huawei and Honor have now set the date for an online event, which will include a live stream with CEO, Richard Yu, as the host.
Same Kirin A1 chipset and a 14-day battery life
Honor has unveiled the new MagicWatch 2, a Kirin A1-based smartwatch that will be available in two sizes, 46mm and 42mm, and focus on fitness.
With support for 5G as well
It appears that Honor 30 will also come with Huawei's new Kirin 990 SoC, at least according to the latest leak.

48MP phone coming to Europe in January
As teased earlier, Honor V20, or the View 20 as it will be known outside of China, has been officially announced with an in-screen front camera, and a 48-megapixel rear camera.
