Unlocked and ready for workstations

In addition to the 9th generation Core CPUs and the new 9th generation Core X-series CPUs, Intel has unveiled a rather interesting Xeon CPU, the Xeon W-3175X.

Including the 8-core Core i9-9900K

At its special event "Fall Desktop Launch Event" in New York City, Intel has officially unveiled its new 9th Generation Core CPUs, the six-core Core i5-9600K, eight-core Core i7-9700K, and the flagship eight-core Core i9-9900K. Intel also unveiled the new Z390 chipset, a minor update to the Z370.

According to a set of fresh Intel slides that have shown up online, it appears that Intel will finally switch to soldered IHS on its upcoming 9th generation Coffee Lake-S Refresh CPUs.

Core i9-9900K, Core i7-9700K, and the Core i5-9600K

Intel is gearing up to launch its 9th generation Core CPUs, which are slated to bring more performance, mostly to higher core counts and higher clock speeds. The leak shows the Core i9-9900K. the Core i7-9700K, and the Core i5-9600K, which was previously confirmed accidentally by Intel.

Just a 100-200MHz frequency bump

Following the leak that Intel will be releasing Coffee Lake-based six- and eight-core parts as its new 9000-series 9th generation CPUs, more details have shown up online revealing a minor 100MHz to 200MHz frequency bump across the lineup.
