Went from 103M in three years
Huawei managed to sell 200 million smartphones in 2018 - a massive increase from 103 million in 2015 or just three million in 2010. As of the first half of this year, Huawei is the world’s second biggest smartphone manufacturer overtaking Apple and leaving Samsung in the prime position.
48MP phone coming to Europe in January
As teased earlier, Honor V20, or the View 20 as it will be known outside of China, has been officially announced with an in-screen front camera, and a 48-megapixel rear camera.
In addition to the 48MP rear camera
According to details that have been spotted online, it appears that the upcoming Honor View 20 could pack Huawei's flagship Kirin 980 SoC, in addition to the rear 48-megapixel camera and the corner hole in-screen selfie camera.
Leica triple rear camera and Kirin 980 SoC
At its event in London, Huawei has officially unveiled its two new flagship smartphones, the Mate 20 and the Mate 20 Pro, both featuring a triple camera, co-engineered with Leica, as well as the new Huawei flagship 7nm Kirin 980 SoC.
Octa-core SoC with dual NPUs
Huawei is obviously going after its competition with its latest Kirin 980 SoC, which is all about being the world's first SoC in many categories, including the first made on TSMC's 7nm, the first with Cortex-A76 cores, dual NPUs, and plenty of other things too.
With a slide out camera
In addition to the Honor Play, Huawei's sub-brand teased the new Magic 2 smartphone, a smartphone without a notch, chin, and with a slide out camera.
