Apple invests in sleep

Will patent it and claim to have invented it

Fruity tax-dodging cargo-cult Apple has worked out that most of its users are sleep walking to the Apple store to buy their products and thinks it might be better that they get some sort of tracking gear.

The outfit has written a cheque for the Finnish startup sleep tracking app and hardware maker Beddit. Apple is not saying anything about the buy, but the company has warned that all their personal data would now be part of the glorious Apple cult.

That should not be too much of a problem as the company already sells its product for $149.95 in Apple's online store, and transfers the data to Beddit's iPhone app for analysis.

Beddit manufactures a monitoring device which tracks heart rate, breathing and sleep time when placed on a bed.
