While there have been plenty of rumors regarding Microsoft's upcoming Lumia 940 XL, we now have some more details including precise specifications spotted in GFXBenchmark database.

According to earlier reports, Microsoft is planning to have two flagship units, the Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL as well as two mid-range smartphones that will run on Windows 10 OS for phones. Today, we have a bit more details regarding the larger Lumia 940 XL, spotted in the GFXBenchmark database by Winfuture.de site.

While the Lumia 940 is expected to feature a 5-inch screen, the Lumia 940 XL, model number RM-1100, sports a 5.7-inch 2560x1440 screen and is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 SoC with Adreno 430 GPU. The benchmark reports 1.5GB but it is likely that the device sports 2GB and 16GB of storage space.

There is a bit of confusion regarding cameras as well since the benchmark reports a 17-megapixel rear camera, which is most likely a 20-megapixel one that is able to record 4K video. It also comes with a front 5-megapixel camera.

Earlier rumors also suggested that the Lumia 940 XL will also feature USB Type-C connector as well as an iris scanner and 3,300mAh battery.

Microsoft will surely have some interesting smartphones and phablets on offer when it launches its Windows 10 OS for phones and it appears that Lumia 940 XL might be one of them.
