Samsung US released a list of devices that will be getting Android 4.4 update a while ago. Today we have a list of international versions thanks to a Polish blog which shows the full list of Samsung smartphone which will get the much needed Android 4.4 Kitkat update. Unfortunately and quite strangely, the Galaxy S III is not on the list and it appears that it will not get the update.
Although both the Samsung Galayx Note II is on the list, which is practically based on the same platform, as well as the Galaxy Grand which has the same 1GB of RAM, it appears that Samsung has abandoned its previous flagship smartphone. The US version of the Galaxy S III will be getting the update as it has 2GB of RAM. This puts the Galaxy S III on the same list as the HTC One X which will stay on Android Jelly Bean OS.
Here is the full list of Samsung Android 4.4 Kitkat worthy smartphones:
Samsung Galaxy Note 3
Samsung Galaxy S4
Samsung Galaxy S4 Active
Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini
Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom
Samsung Galaxy Note II
Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition)
Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1
