Hoodlums just want to beat up Apple users

Coppers in London have noticed a huge increase in street crime as hoods beat up Apple fanboys in search of their gadgets.

The Metropolitan Police said that there were 31,841 street robberies recorded last year in London – an increase of 8.3 per cent compared to 2009. Of these 13,400 phones were snatched. Met Commander Simon Pountain said that smart phones and media players are becoming must-have items for many people that includes criminals too. They simply see these items as cash.

Most robberies happen when people check their phones just after leaving the underground or when they are going about their business and may be distracted, he said. The Met is warning people with expensive new gadgets to keep them out of sight when out and about.

However, Apple fanboys are easy to spot. They have the smug expressions that you just want to punch. Although I am not sure whether or not you would need to do so just to steal one of their gadgets.
