For its GTX 460 cards

Following the launch of its GTX 460 graphics cards, Nvidia has rolled out its newest Geforce 258.96 driver that should take care of the aforementioned card. In addition to the GTX 460 cards, the new WHQL driver also supports Geforce 6, 7, 8, 9, 100, 200, 300 and the rest of the 400 series cards as well as Nvidia's ION GPUs.

As far as features are concerned, the new driver adds support for Nvidia's 3D Vision Surround, updates PhysX software to version 9.10.0224 and HD Audio driver to 1.0.15.0, and brings performance increases for Geforce GTX 400 series GPUs in several PC games.

The performance improvements include games like Metro 2033 for both single and SLI setups, Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X, Crysis: Warhead, Aliens vs Predator, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat, World in Conflict and Just Cause 2. Don't expect any wonders as the biggest performance increase is in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat and Aliens vs. Predator, and it is mere 10 to 12 percent.

You can find the new driver here.
