Low profile card

Leadtek has announced a new addition to its entry-level lineup of graphics cards, the low profile Geforce 9500 GT. Based on the G96 GPU, this card aims to be a great DirectX 10 capable card for HTPCs packed in a low profile case.

The card features PCI-Express 2.0 x16 support and comes with 32 stream processors. The GPU works at 550MHz, while the 512MB of GDDR2 memory is clocked at 1,000MHz and paired up with a 128-bit memory interface. The card is cooled by a single-slot cooling solution with a small fan that apparently cools both memory and the GPU, at least according to what we could see from the picture.

The back plate features a single DVI connector, which is quite strange, as we would like to see an HDMI there as well. The card should be available soon, and while the price is still unknown, we suspect that it should end up at around €60.
