After it releases Radeon HD 4850 X2

ATI will
launch Radeon HD 4850 X2 and it doesn’t plan to release any new graphics cards until the end of the year. The current ones, including Radeon HD 4870 X2, HD 4870 and HD 4850, are selling really well and 4830 will find its place once it drops to a more reasonable price.

When it comes to a sub €100 market ATI has Radeon HD 4670 and 4650, and the cheapest sector is covered with HD 4350 and 4550 cards. Since ATI wins against Nvidia in all these segments there is no need to launch any new products and the company is ready for some nice Christmas sales.

Nvidia, on the other hand, is in a bit of a mess and it's waiting for its 55nm GT200 chips to try to fix the damage caused by loss in all market segments to ATI. Nvidia is selling, but ATI is definitely selling much better these days.
