As detailed earlier in the announcement, Battlefield 2042 will officially launch on October 23rd and be the first Battlefield game to support 128-players on the same map. The game will lack a single-player campaign and focus on the multiplayer experience, with single-player only offered as multiplayer with bots.
Battlefield 2042 128-player multiplayer will be available on the PC and current-gen consoles, while last-gen consoles will be limited to 64-players.
EA has previously detailed the "classes" and so far, we know there will be a total of ten "specialists" when the game launches in October, including four that were now revealed, like Recon, Assault, Support, and Engineer.
During the Microsoft E3 2021 showcase, EA detailed that we will be looking at seven massive maps, with changing battle conditions and more. The showcase also revealed some multiplayer modes, like Conquest, and more.
