Nvidia Shield console to hit Europe in September

Content is king

Europeans felt left out when Nvidia's Shield console was launched only in the US. Now, it will be appearing in the Old country in September.

Nvidia has worked hard with content developers to provide region specific apps and services for the European launch of Android TV OS based console.

Android TV needs enough local apps in order to launch a console. Most parts of Europe have Netflix and Nvidia can offer 4K streaming with its console. You will need 25 Mbits or faster internet connection and 4K TV in order to enjoy this offer.

You can play a lot of decent games on the Shield console. Android games are ok.  You can live without them, but they do make people's miserable lives go that much faster.

Nvidia grid is a good selling point  and it will let you stream PC games via Wlan from your Geforce enabled PC.

We keep hearing that the Shield tablet is coming and will be powered by an updated Tegra processor, but we will get back to you when something concrete happens.
