Xbox One to get Windows 10 update in November

by on05 August 2015

New look and plenty of new features

While Windows 10 OS is happily running on plenty of PCs, it appears that Xbox One Windows 10 update will be coming in November, according to Microsoft's announcement at Gamescom 2015.

We already had a chance to see the new Xbox One interface back at E3 2015 show but we did not have a release date, which is now set for November. The new update will bring plenty of new features but the most noticeable one is the new interface, which is a welcomed update from now already old Windows 8 Metro look.

In addition to the new interface and Windows 10 update, Microsoft has also announced that it will be bringing DVR for Over-the-Air TV feature to Xbox One. It will also have an ability to watch recorded shows on mobile devices, schedule recording On-The-Go and browse to your DVR collections. This feature will be available sometime next year.

As far as the November update is concerned, Microsoft will update plenty of current features including the OneGuide, Xbox Store as well as bring Cortana to Xbox One, which is not a big surprise considering it is a main part of the Windows 10 OS.

Microsoft has also announced the new Xbox Chatpad, an accessory that can be connected to the Xbox One controller and should make life quite easier for those that like text chat as well as use Xbox One for more than gaming.
