HP plans Integrity refresh

Better than another texting scandal
HP is planning to refresh its ironically entitled Integrity server range. The maker of outrageously priced printer ink has hinted that it will use Intel's quad-core "Tukwila" processors which were launched in February. This will allow HP to update its Integrity servers with a more modern, modular design that lets customers scale them more easily and reduce ownership costs.
Integrity customers have been waiting a long time for any changes. Other than moderately faster processors, HP hasn't made significant changes to most of the systems since the Integrity brand was introduced in 2003. The high-end Superdome server has had the same chassis since its introduction ten years ago.
Intel will be hoping that its Itanium brand gets a lift from the new systems. HP is by far the biggest seller of Itanium-based servers
