BroadSoft powers Deutsche Telekom CloudPBX

Cloudy future together

Unified communications as a service (UCaaS) outfit Broadsoft has scored a deal running the Deutsche Telekom CloudPBX.

DeutschlandLAN CloudPBX will get a native dialer and make use of a self-care portal mobile application which provides advanced feature control.

Broadsoft said that the deal means a “complete unified messaging experience, including: delivery of integrated HD audio, one number, messaging, screen sharing, file sharing and conferencing”.

So far the native phone dialer UC on mobile devices has limited business users to basic calling features which are pretty rubbish for any outfit which has a mobile-centric workforce.

Over-the-top (OTT) cloud PBX and unified communications services have been a mess, leaving customers to awkwardly tie together separate wireline and wireless numbers to support mobile workers.

Broadcom should be opening the champers. DeutschlandLAN CloudPBX offers all German business markets, between 2 and 10,000 seats. The telco has bought the mobile dialler’s advanced business features and a turnkey self-managed solution via an advanced feature portal.

Head of Portfolio & Marketing - Enterprise Customers, Deutsche Telekom Peter Arbitter said that the two companies had been working together for a decade.

“Signing up to the Powered by BroadSoft program will be a key enabler in helping us build and sustain market leadership, and we believe DeutschlandLAN CloudPBX is a significant game changer for businesses of all sizes in the German market,” he said.
