In a Twitter posting from Halo PR manager Rob Semsey, he confirms that despite much concern that the first Halo title for Xbox One might not make a 2014 release, the title is said to be on track for release yet this year.

Things got a little out of hand when the new Halo title was not among the titles mentioned for the Xbox One in a blog posting that lists titles coming this year. Since the title has not been officially revealed, beyond a very small teaser indicating that new Halo adventures are coming, it is hard we would guess to talk about a game that doesn’t even have an official name yet.

Semsey says that everything including the official name of the game will be announced at a later date and the next chapter in the Halo journey will arrive in 2013. Semsey didn’t provide any details on the new title or when the new title will be officially announced, but whispers suggest that it is most likely that Microsoft will announce the next Halo title at E3 in June with a release planned for the 2014 holiday season.
