Burglar didn't know it was the iHouse

A clueless burglar broke into Steve Jobs' old place and walked off with $60,000 worth of computer gear... yeah he nicked an iPad.

Most burglaries in the known universe are ignored by the cops, Apple has a good relationship with the local police.  Indeed they have a habit of showing up and assisting in illegal search warrants.  So it is fair to say that when religious relics go missing from the late iCon messiah's property, the right people jumped.

Needless to say Kariem McFarlin, 35, of Alameda was caught and arrested and could face eight years in prison for entering sacred ground while wearing his shoes. According to police the case was a run of the mill burglary and other than the fact that the house is owned by Jobs' estate, it was a bog standard burglary case.

Kariem McFarlin, remains jailed with bail set at $500,000 pending an Aug. 20 court hearing.

Coppers say that McFarlin had no idea that he had broken into the Jobs home.  The house was being renovated and he thought that it was less secure. The house was unoccupied at the time of the burglary.
