While HP has bought Palm and that company’s WebOS, the maker of expensive printer ink is not out to be like Apple.
According to one of the company’s executives. Todd Bradley, Executive Vice President, Consumer Products, HP is not trying to follow Apple down the iOS path. Bradley said that HP needed to be able to offer custom solutions to Enterprise customers. WebOS is going to appear in its own smartphones, tablets, and printers.
While this is a bit like Apple, he reminded hacks that Apple does not make printers any more. HP has no plans to license WebOS to other companies, preferring to keep it in house, under its control, for use in hardware it developers, said Bradley.
Yeah, this is a bit like Apple too.
