Highest capacity consumer SSD

Samsung has officially released the 4TB version of its popular 850 EVO SSD, which will cost US $1,499 and is actually the highest capacity consumer SSD around.

Available only in 120GB and 250GB capacities

While it was already spotted a while back, Samsung has now officially announced its new 750 EVO series which will be based on Samsung's 16nm TLC NAND and only be available in 120GB and 250GB capacities. 

With new Samsung MHX controller

According to the announcement, Samsung has been recently experiencing a surge in demand for higher capacity SSDs which pushed the company to announce 2TB version of its popular 850 Pro and 850 EVO SSDs.

Still no availability date

While the 2.5-inch form-factor 850 EVO SSD from Samsung is already available and quite popular, it appears that Samsung is also working on a couple of other form-factors, including mSATA and M.2, based on the same design.
