Faster than Geforce RTX 4060 and Radeon RX 7600 XT

As reviewers are busy testing Intel's Arc B580 Battlemage graphics cards, the recent leak shows it to be faster in Vulkan and Open CL benchmarks at Geekbench, beating both the RTX 4070 and the RX 7600 XT.

Two SKUs launching in mid-December

According to the latest information, Intel could announce its new Arc Battlemage graphics card next week, on December 3rd, with availability expected a week later, on December 12th. Intel will launch two SKUs, the Arc B580 and the Arc B570, with the rest of the lineup coming at a later date.

Confirms 20 Xe2-cores, 12GB of VRAM and 2.85GHz clock

With the Intel B580 graphics card launch apparently just around the corner, it does not come as a surprise that we are now getting the first leaks from popular benchmarks. The latest one, from the Geekbench benchmark, pretty much confirms previous rumors of 20 Xe2 GPU cores, 12GB of VRAM, and a 2.85GHz clock.

Intel has shed more details about its Lunar Lake architecture during the Tech Tour event, including details about all the improvements it will bring to the new Core Ultra mobile processors. This is an extensive list that includes new Lion Cove P-cores, Skymont E-cores, new NPU, the Arc Xe2 Battlemage GPU, and enhancements to the Intel Thread Director, all neatly packaged into a single-tiled SoC.

Discrete graphics might become even more discrete

New leaks into the graphics power of Chipzilla’s Xe2 Battlemage architecture on Lunar Lake indicate that onboard GPUs are about to get a whole lot beefier, ready to smash out some serious frame rates.

Intel wants it on the market before November

Intel has so far managed to keep most information about its upcoming Battlemage GPUs well hidden and has only confirmed that these are on track. Now, rumors suggest that Intel aims to launch these GPs before the all-important holiday shopping season, which peaks with Black Friday.
