Offers to exchange sweepstake Core i7-8086K for Threadripper 1950X

AMD is having a blast in taking stabs at Intel these days and in its latest one, it goes for the recently announces Intel sweepstake, offering to exchange the prized Core i7-8086K limited edition CPU for a brand new Threadripper 1950X CPU.

40th anniversary with 5.0GHz Turbo

Following the recent leaks and in order to celebrate the 40th anniversary since the release of the original 8086 processor, Intel has now - as expected - introduced the Core i7-8086K, an unlocked 6-core CPU with a base clock of 4.0GHz and Turbo clock hitting 5.0GHz.

Available as of June 8th

It appears that Intel's 40th anniversary Core i7-8086K CPU won't be that pricy and should sell for under £400 when it starts selling on June 8th, at least according to the latest report.
