Mass production in late 2016

TSMC is planning to create a 10nm pilot line at its 300mm wafer plant in Fab 12.

The foundry is on track to commence mass production of 10nm products by the end of the year. The pilot is scheduled for June, reports Digitimes

In addition to Fab 12, the company is planning to build an all new fab and get it online by mid-2016. Work on the new Fab 15 should start in June as well.

Samsung and Intel are also expected to start mass production of 10nm products by the end of 2016. Right now, it looks like the race to 10nm will be very tight indeed.
