Intel still not capable of making low power chip

To meet Apple standards

Industry sources have confirmed that Intel was probing Apple with its Atom disguised in Moorestown cloth and we heard that Apple told Intel engineers that their chips need to have idle power consumption at least ten times lower than what it is today. Ten time less is a huge leap and until that happens you wont see any Apple multimedia devices playing audio and Video with Intel chips inside.

Idle power of Nvidia's Tegra is much better than with Atom / Moorestown and this is what Nvidia is having quite a lot success with this highly capable chip.

Intel is great at making desktop and notebook chips, but it's learning manuals do not include 40+ years of experience in environment where you have to have a lot of performance with minimal power. Intel will probably get there but for Apple standards you won’t see Moorestown and similar products anytime soon in any Steve Jobs' mobile creations.
