CEO Steve Mollenkopf confirms

Settles the licensing business practice dispute
Qualcomm has reached a mutual agreement - a settlement with the Taiwan Fair Trade Commission (TFTC) - resolving its investigation of Qualcomm and Qualcomm’s litigation challenging the TFTC’s decision alleging violations of Taiwan’s Fair-Trade Act.
Settlement wrapped in a paper

5G multi year marriage
Not only has Qualcomm just signed a cross license agreement with Samsung that resulted in the halt of Samsung’s legal battle against the company, the two giants have just announced a multi-year strategic relationship agreement. Both Samsung and Qualcomm have problems with Apple and a Broadcom hostile takeover.
Enemy of my enemy
Samsung is about to launch the Galaxy S9 and the US and Chinese version will use the Snapdragon 845. Samsung has been fighting Qualcomm with its own Exynos but the global patent cross-license agreement as well as a multi-year strategic relationship agreement sends a strong no-buy message to Broadcom.
Oculus going to be forced to make a settlement or suffer
Oculus could find itself in serious hot water as video game publisher ZeniMax Media which has won a $500 million verdict against it for unauthorised copying of computer code, has asked a federal judge to block Oculus from using the code in its products.
Says it is a cheat
The girls and boys at Nvidia - it’s fair to say - really dislike Intel. Considering it neutrally we consider both firms are not the epitome of wisdom. But today Nvidia levelled accusatory stuff at Chipzilla.
