Qualcomm is boosting its Quick Charge technology and claims a device can plug in and get a device with a 4,500mAh battery from 0 to 50 per cent in five minutes and from empty to full n 15 minutes.

Qualcomm has announced the new version of its Quick Charge 4 technology, the Quick Charge 4+, promising faster, cooler and more efficient charging with full support on the same chipset.

Even faster charging speeds in 2017

Qualcomm's Snapdragon 830 is just around the corner and it will support fast charging speeds of 28W. The technology is called Quick Charge 4.0 and the information comes from an accessory manufacture that wants to remain silent.
