iOS 8.1.1 said to improve performance on 4S and iPad 2

by on18 November 2014

Bug fixes, stability, and performance improvements

When iOS 8 was released, word circulated around pretty quickly that the performance on the iPhone 4s and iPad 2 was not that great and in fact it was a bit buggy when compared to the later models. Like Apple has done before, it has gone back and addressed those concerns with the release of iOS 8.1.1.

The focus of this release is bug fixes, increased stability and performance improvements for the iPad 2 and the iPhone 4s. This of course is great news for those who own an iPad 2 or iPhone 4s as this will likely be the last major upgrade that will be released for these devices as the iOS bar continues to rise.

Early word is that it does seem to improve things for iPad 2 and iPhone 4s owners, but it is too early to say from our testing on the iPhone 4s, but one thing is for sure that it could not get much worse.
