Now before the Apple fanboys crank up that Jobs’ Mob does far better than that, saying that Apple sold five million it its first weekend, the speed of the sale of just one of Samsung’s phones should be scaring the outfit. Apple sells one phone a year and puts shedloads of promotion into it. The fact that Samsung could have 80 per cent of its sales in its first few days of sail on just one of its products is very bad news for Cupertino. Particularly when you consider that Samsung is only one of the competitors out there and the S4 is just one of Samsung's phones.
It is becoming clear that Apple’s attempts to flog a similar product with minor changes once every year are failing. If the next version of the iPhone is not pretty special then the company should pack it in and do something different.
