After just three days of sales Apple has apparently managed to shift 4 million iPhone 4S.

Sales exceeded expectations, as most analysts were expecting between 2 and 3 million, and only a handful believed Apple could sell 4 million in a single weekend.

For comparison, original iPhone 4 launch weekend sales hit 1.7 million last year, so the revamped version doubled the previous best. In addition, more than 25 million users have already migrated to iOS 5.

In related news, Occupy Wall Street protests continue to spread in the US and much of the western world. However, with millions of consumers lining up to buy expensive toys with a 2-year payment plan, we wonder if it’s time for the protesters to revise their 99 percent slogan and come up with something more appropriate.
