According to G.Skill, this is the first time that DDR4 memory kits above DDR4-4000 will be available with the low CL17 latency. The new Trident Z RGB 32GB (4x8GB) DDR-4266 memory kit, with CL17-18-18-38 latency and 1.45V voltage, will be available alongside couple of other CL17 kits, the 16GB(2x8GB)/32GB(4x8GB) DDR4-4133 Trident Z RGB kit with CL17-17-17-37 latency and 1.4V, and the 16GB(2x8GB)/32GB(4x8GB) DDR4-4000 Trident Z RGB kit with CL17-17-17-37 latency at 1.35V.
All new CL17 Trident Z RGB kits are based on hand-binned, high-performance Samsung B-die DDR4 ICs and use the same recognizable Trident Z heatsink with RGB lighting.
The high-end DDR4-4266 CL17 kit, as well as the DDR4-4133 CL17 kit, have been already tested on the Asus ROG Maximus X Hero motherboard with the Intel Core i7-8700K processor.
According to G.Skill, these new Trident Z RGB DDR4-4000+ CL17 kits will be available in January next year. Unfortunately, G.Skill did not reveal any details regarding the price.
