Breaks the 4000MHz mark

Getting ready for Intel's Skylake launch, G.Skill has unveiled the new Trident Z and Ripjaws V DDR4 memory series with Trident Z memory kit that is rated at staggering 4000MHz frequency.

Both designed with updated specifications for Intel's 6th generation Core Skylake CPUs and upcoming Intel Z170 Express chipset based motherboards, the G.Skill Trident Z and Ripjaws V memory modules and kits will be available in various capacities ranging from 8GB kits, all the way up to 64GB kits, voltage ranging from 1.2V to 1.4V and frequencies ranging from 2133MHz to 4000MHz.

The new Trident Z DDR4 memory is a direct successor of G.Skill's well known high-end Trident memory series. The Trident Z memory series will use the highest-end Samsung IC memory chips and is actually the first 8GB DDR4 retail memory kit that will be available with 4000MHz frequency at 19-25-25-45 latency.

The Trident Z will feature a unique heatspreader with a single-piece design that allows direct heat dissipation from the heatspreader tot he cooling fin. It will also offer dual-color construction and will be available in frequencies ranging from 2800MHz to previously mentioned 4000MHz.

The new G.Skill Ripjaws V wil be the newest member of a well known G.Skill Ripjaws memory lineup and brings a new desing with new heatspreader and plenty of new colors. G.Skill's Ripjaws line is the classic performance lineup and will also use Samsung's IC memory chips and be available with frequency set between 2133MHz and 3733MHz.

With the new heatspreader, the G.Skill Ripjaws V will be available in Blazing Red, Steel Blue, Radiant Silver, Gunmetal Gray, and Classic Black color choices.

You can check out the full list of specifications in the table below.
