With X48 boards starting to appear all around the net, it might be a good idea to get a ridiculously fast memory kit to go with your top notch mobo. Apart from providing you with unparalleled performance, a 2000MHz DDR3 kit in your rig will assure you bragging rights for the foreseeable future.

A-DATA is the first memory maker to churn out a 2000MHz DDR3 kit, the Vitesta DDR3-2000X, and while the new memory modules might not be as spectacular as Yeager's mad dash over the Mojave, this gives the company something to brag about, too, since it has beaten the big players to the punch.

The company has tested the modules on an Asus ROG Maximus Extreme X38 board, and the results are impressive - over 13,000MB/s on the EVEREST Memory bandwidth read and write test. Apart from the 2000MHz clock, the new modules have CL9-9-9-24 latencies and work at 2.05 - 2.15V, and it's available as a 2x1GB kit. No word on the price yet.
