Watch OS 2.0 update on September 16

Apple has unveiled couple of new updates for its Apple Watch, including new apps, finishes and straps.

Apple's Watch announcement has some cosmetic changes.  These include new Gold and Rose Gold colour options for the Apple Watch Sport Edition, a bunch of new straps in various pastel colors and new premium hand-stitched leather straps from the Hermes fashion company . There was also a new watch face with timelapse background.

A little more crucially, Apple unveiled some of the upcoming apps which will be a part of the Watch OS 2.0 update coming on September 16. The company has announced that there are more than 10,000 apps for Apple Watch, but apparently there are some apps that have been missing, including the upcoming Facebook Messenger app. The native apps will display video, access hardware, like speaker and microphone and more.

Apple also unveiled the GoPro Viewfinder app which turns the Watch into a miniature viewfinder for GoPro camera and a medical-focused app called the Airstrip, which can even monitor the fetal heart-rate (if you can get your fetus to wear a watch).

The Apple Watch will also get iTranslate app that can translate to 90 languages. The company also showed third party app compilation, a combination of few apps that can show you latest news, airline departure times or any other combination on the main screen.

The new Apple Watch straps and finishes will be available in 24 countries, while the Watch OS 2.0 update will roll out on September 16th.
