There was a lot of discussion about Intel’s CEO's recent presentation at the Credit Suisse technology conference. Bob Swan commented that he is willing to give up the 90 percent mark share mindset. He would instead get 30 percent of all silicon market valued at $288 TAM.

Relationship with an Intel employee

There is no better way to steer the week than an announcement that the  CEO of Intel, Brian Krzanich, was fired as both the leader of the company and a member of the board of directors. Intel officially says he resigned but it also said that he was in a past consensual relationship with an Intel employee, a big no-go and against the company’s policy.

But not until 2020

Enthusiasts, or those with the cash for a Radeon Fury X and Geforce GTX 980 TI or Titan, expect to see a boom of VR devices such as HTC Vive or the Oculus Rift. But according to AMD's CFO the VR business will start making some serious money only in 2020.
