€241 in Germany

While checking out the 8800GT offer in the EU, we stumbled upon the first 256MB card so far.

A German retailer has listed Leadtek's WF 8800GT DDR3 PCI-E 256MB HDCP for €241. The card is not in stock and the current price makes no sense, since you can get a 512MB card for an average €250, and a BFG 8800GT with 512MB of memory is listed at €238. This is just the first offer and you can expect the prices of 256MB versions to be around the 200 Euro mark once they hit the market in numbers.

The card is reference clocked, 600/900/1500MHz, and the only difference compared to the group of cards we talked about yesterday is the halved memory size.

You can see the retailer's site here.
