What makes the ASUS MG279Q interesting is its 27-inch IPS 2560x1440 resolution panel which has a 144Hz refresh rate. While it is quite similar to ASUS ROG Swift monitor, based on a TN panel and featuring support for Nvidia's G-Sync technology, the ASUS MG2769Q should be more interesting thanks to its IPS panel technology.
The rest of the known specifications include 178 degree viewing angles, Ultra-low Blue Light technology and a stand that is quite similar to ASUS ROG Swift G-Sync monitor.
Spotted by Techreport.com, ASUS MG279Q has now been confirmed by AMD as a part of lineup with support for AMD Freesync technology and should hit retail/e-tail shelves with a price set at US $599. Currently, the same monitor is listed in Europe with prices starting at €568.72.
