EKWB water block on it

Powercolor has published a new picture of its upcoming Powercolor R9 290X LCS graphics card which is actually the first water cooled R9 290X graphics card that we have seen so far. Custom Radeon R9 290 series graphics cards are on their way and it is just a matter of days before we see a bunch of them announced but Powercolor's R9 290X LCS will definitely stand out with its EK Water Blocks water block.

Although Powercolor still do not publish any details regarding the R9 290X LCS, it is nice to see that partners have started to reveal some details regarding its upcoming custom R9 290X and R9 290 graphics cards which suggest that we are definitely drawing closer to the launch. As you can see from the picture, the water block comes from EK Water Blocks and we are quite sure that there will be at least a slight factory overclock and it will definitely have a much better overclocking potential when compared to reference R9 290X cards on the market.

AMD's reference cooler on the R9 290X was far from good and although it did a decent job, EKWB's full cover water block will be much better. According to our sources, the announcement should officially come next week and we will hopefully see some stock all around the world but we guess it will depend on the actual demand. Unfortunately, the price still remains a mystery.
