Twin Frozr IV and fine tuning ability

In addition to the recently introduced R7970 Lightning, MSI has now unveiled a new member of its prestigous Lightning series, the GTX 680 Lightning based on Nvidia's flagship 28nm Kepler GK104 GPU.

Pixellized and detailed by VR-Zone, the new GTX 680 Lightning features the same black and yellow color scheme and Twin Frozr IV cooler. Although there are still no precise details regarding the GPU or memory clocks, rumours are brewing that it could end up with over 10 percent higher factory clocks. Unfortunately, it still features the same 2GB memory amount, rather than 4GB that could be expected from a high-end member of the Lightning series.

Same as the R7970 Lightning, the new GTX 680 Lightning will also use MSI's GPU Reactor, an add-on PCB that plugs into the back of the PCB and provides higher power levels and reduces ripple for the GPU. The new GTX 680 Lightning uses MSI Military Class III components and comes with some OC friendly features like voltage check points and 8+8-pin PCI-Express power connectors.

As it is still in its early stage, there were no details regarding price or the actual release date. You can check out more pictures over at VR-Zone.
