TOP SKU from Asus

Following the recent flood of factory overclocked GTX 680 graphics cards, Asus have now officially announced a new line of GTX 680 DirectCU II cards, the GTX 680 DirectCU II TOP and GTX 680 DirectCU II OC.

Both cards use the same PCB and the same triple-slot DirectCU II cooler and feature 10-phase DIGI+ VRM, Asus' Super Alloy Power components, as well as Asus VGA Hotwire and GPU Tweak utility support for additional overclocking. The DirectCU II triple slot and despite the factory overclock it should keep the card around 20% cooler and 14dB quieter when compared to the reference card. It features five copper heatpipes, a huge heatsink and two 100mm fans.

As far as the specs go, both cards are, of course, based on Nvidia's 28nm GK104 GPU with 1536 CUDA cores and 2GB of GDDR5 memory paired up with a 256-bit memory interface. Both cards should end up with non-stacked 6+8-pin PCI-Express power connectors.

The OC SKU, model name GTX680-DC2O-2GD5 ended up overclocked to 1019MHz for the base and 1084MHz for boost GPU clock while memory ended up clocked at reference 1502MHz (6008MHz effective). The TOP SKU, model name GTX680-DC2T-2GD5, has a much higher 1137MHz base and 1201MHz boost GPU clcok while memory remained at the same reference 6008MHz.

Unfortunately, the price or the actual avaiability date haven't been announced.
