Final Fantasy XV coming to PC in 2018

by on23 August 2017

With Nvidia GameWorks enhancements

At a special event at Gamescom 2017, Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy XV will be coming to the PC in 2018 and since Nvidia was a partner at the announcement, it does not come as a surprise that it will feature Nvidia technologies.

According to details coming from the event as well as Nvidia's own and a rather extensive blog post, Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition will be quite impressive, especially with some Gameworks effects like the Flow, HairWorks, Hybrid Frustum Traced Shadows, Turf Effects, and Voxel Ambient Occlusion.

Both Nvidia and Square Enix were quite keen to note that the game will support both 4K and 8K gameplay resolutions, HDR10, with support for G-Sync HDR monitors, Dolby Atmos for audio and more.

Currently, we do not have a more precise launch date other than "early 2018" and judging from those screenshots and the posted 4K trailer, the game will most likely have high requirements. Hopefully, we will hear more about it soon.
