Gigabyte claims Xtreme Gaming is a philosophy

Wants to get deeper into gaming

Gigabyte says its Xtreme Gaming-series is part of a philosophy to cultivate deeper relationships in the gaming market.

According to Digitimes Gigabyte created Xtreme Gaming, a product line consisting of IT hardware such as graphics cards and mice that are designed specifically for gaming purposes, at the end of 2015.

Eddie Lin, Gigabyte's Sales and Marketing Associate Vice President said there was a little more to it than that. Xtreme Gaming is not only a hardware series but a cunning plan for Gigabyte to adopt for its future operations.

Before Gigabyte released it, Gigabyte's strategy for the graphics card business was stable, but lacked much in the way of direction mostly because the outfit had few links in the gaming community.

Xtreme involves extending Gigabyte's product lines with the latest technologies and innovations, headhunting gaming talent to understand the ecosystem, work with gaming communities, develop cross-industry cooperation with other companies to provide gamers with next-generation gaming experiences. Lastly it wants to find partners to jointly develop new technologies to support gaming.

Since some gamers can play their favorite games with mid-range graphics cards, Xtreme Gaming mid-range cards aim to allow these gamers to have “competitive gaming experiences” against products offered by other competitors.

Xtreme Gaming's is also pushing into the VR market by resolving hardware/software compatibility issues and minimizing dizziness when wearing a VR headset via hardware/software adjustments.

Gigabyte has also been forming partnerships with e-sport teams. But the outfit is more interested in receiving their feedback on product usage. E-sport team support allows Gigabyte to connect with gaming communities in different regions to tighten its relationships.

Apparently gamers in different countries have interests in different games, and it has to make improvements on a game-by-game basis to satisfy demand from different regions.
