The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt systems requirements revealed

by on09 January 2015

Intel Core i5 2500K as the minimum requirement

System requirements for recent games have been slowly rising to new levels and while some games are just unoptimized, there are plenty of game developers that are pushing image quality to a whole new level and, according to CD Projekt, its latest The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt game will need quite a rig to get the game rolling smoothly.

While there will be plenty of time for users to upgrade their systems to at least match The Witcher 3: Wild hunt system requirements, these are still quite high as, according to the post over at the official website, you will need at least Intel Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz or AMD Phenom II X4 940 CPU, Nvidia Geforce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon HD 7870, 6GB of RAM, 64-bit Windows 7 or Windows 8 (8.1) OS and 40GB of HDD space.

The recommended system requirements are even higher and it would be quite interesting to see what kind of hardware will be needed to push the level of detail to its maximum. According to that same post, recommended system requirements include Intel Core i7 3770 or AMD FX-8350 CPUs, Nvidia Geforce GTX 770 or AMD Radeon R9 290 graphics and 8GB of RAM.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be released on May 19 for PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
