The PlayStation 3 version of Minecraft will finally arrive on December 18th according to Mojang. The game which has sold an incredible 10 million copies on Xbox One will finally hit the PlayStation 3. (Microsoft held an timed exclusive on the release of the console version of the game which is why we have not seen it on PlayStation till now.)

The PS3 version will apparently offer everything found in the Xbox 360 Edition and going forward both versions will be developed in tandem. Beyond the PS3 release, an Xbox One Edition is coming as well as a version for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.

With over 30 million copies sold on the PC, iOS and Xbox 360, people just can’t seem to get enough Minecraft. This is a trend that we don’t see slowing down anytime soon.
