More details to follow in about two weeks

Sources are confirming that Activision has reached a deal with Rovio for the publisher to bring the Angry Birds saga to console systems for the first time. While Angry Birds has been available for a number of platforms, for the most part the releases have been for the cell phone and tablet market. Of course, there were exceptions (like the Roku streamer units which got Angry Birds), but despite Rovio saying they would like to bring Angry Birds to the console market space it had not happened till now.

From what we have been able to uncover, we should hear more specifics from Activision on Angry Birds for consoles in two weeks’  time.  It is unclear if the game is ready to go or whether the announcement will kick off the marketing for the game that is still in development.

It is also unknown which consoles will be on the agenda for an Angry Birds release. It is a safe bet that it will be coming to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but it isn’t evident if these are the only platforms that will get Angry Birds. We will just have to wait two weeks to learn the outcome.
